  • Mala comprensión lectora
  • Problema en enfocarse o prestar atención, especialmente por extensos periodos de tiempo.
  • Cubrirse un ojo o cerrar solo uno frecuentemente
  • Se queja de visión doble o borrosa
  • Dolor de cabeza regulares, especialmente al leer
  • Dificultad visualizando o recordando cosas basado en algo que leyó
  • Problema para aprender conceptos básicos de matemáticas, como tamaño, posición y magnitud.
  • Letra y dibujos descuidados, dificultad para permanecer en o dentro las líneas, o dificultad para copiar notas del pizarrón.

Qué hacer

Si alguno de estos síntomas aparece, los padres del niño deberían estar informados tanto del problema como del hecho de que podría ser un problema visual (a diferencia de una discapacidad de aprendizaje.) La responsabilidad de los padres es llevar a su niño a un profesional del cuidado de los ojos para que su vista pueda ser correctamente examinada y, cualquier problema tratado.
